  6. I have a secured loan with Welcome, just received a letter out of the blue offering to reduce the loan to 65%, over £10000 off the total balance, if we can repay it in 21 days! Can anyone else let me know if they have received the same? I have never had a company willing offer this without reason.

  10. I've got a car loan and personal unsecured loan with them and have stopped paying the car loan in protest at the scandalous amount of "car park" calling they have been doing to me, breaches of data protection, door stop threats etc etc.... My mrs even went up to the office and offered to pull the a***hole that kept phoning us over her desk as she was so obnoxious to her on the phone. Haven't heard a word since so I'm gonna cancel the other direct debit and they can whistle Dixie for anymore cash from me. Nasty and highly unprofesional mob. Poor credit shouldn't mean u get treated like s***! And it's the people u deal with that are the face of the company and talk to u like dirt so if they go tits up then I hope it hurts. The stress and upset they cause they deserve it!

I got behind with payments andafter not excepting my offer to try and get out of arrears and literally bringing me to tears on the phone I havnt payed them for 6 months and ain't going to pay them at all. 17. i have been trying to pay off my loan since 2005 and it was only for 1500 pounds. i missed a couple of payments, as i had so many outgoings i was barely able to fill the food cupboard, and i concentrated on paying utilities for a time. Its 2010, i paid them a cheque for 1000 pounds, but they said thats just paid the interest off. In the past iv had them knocking on my door, ringing my work place, ( i was a nurse working on a busy ward), every member of staff they spoke to they told them my business, and finally when i treated myself to a well earned holiday with a friend, they had the cheek to say if i could afford a holiday, i could afford to pay them. i went through extreme anxiety because of that lot, and am still no better off. i hope they do go bust. Be doing alot of people alot of favours!!!!!!!

  18. adding to the above, i searched to see if help was available and read reviews on welcome finance, all bad i have to say. when i phoned national debt helpline and mentioned them, they said that they have had so much trouble with this company! i remember when i took out this loan with them, and took the cheque to the halifax, and the halifax warned me about them but did i listen...no! never again!

  19. Hi everyone

I have a welcome account. I really wish I didn't have nay dealings with subprime lenders. I am up to date with my loan which is about halfway thorugh; I now discover that they appear to have gone bust. I have had a pretty awful year and have had to downsize my accommodation; I now am becoming anxious as there are cuts within the organisation who I work for and this could mean redundancies. Having read everything about this company and others like them (such as payday lenders) I am in two minds whether to cancel my direct debit instructions with them or not.

In particular I don't care for them knocking on my door....this must be classed as harrassment. I have already contacted my MP an the Prime Minster as ther is a campaign to close down or severely regulate what can only be described as legal loan sharks. I would have thought any reasonable Judge at a County Court would describe their interest rates are unjustified and possibly illegal.

Any advice as to whether I stick paying them or cancel my direct debit?

  24. Hi All,
Just read all the above posts about welcome finance and I couldnt agree more. The staff of this company are the lowest form of scum around, I just wish i'd known they were going under earlier just so I could have laughed in their faces as they lost jobs, just as they laughed at me when my wife lost her job. wankers.
I still have an outstanding secured loan with them which i took out in 2004. I borrowed £11,000. when m y wife lost her job 12 months later i asked to reduce payments from £250, they did..... to £242.... and in doing so and unknown to me extended my term by 10 fucking years, Thats double the original. I have missed some payments since and have some arrears due the the change in intrest rates and my payments going back up to the original amount. I am now over paying by £20 a month and its not making a blind bit of difference.
I have done some number crunching and since 2004 I have paid welcome nearly £20,000, I borrowed £11,000. I recieved a statement from them with a settlement figure of £19,500. How does that work. Has anyone taken any formal advice on this or is anyone in the same boat.
I'm going to cancel my direct debit tomorrow and see what comes of it...... the fuckwits can talk to me through solicitors now.

Dear welcome staff, ( Waterlooville hampshire )

I really do hope you've all lost your jobs, and your now in the situation i was in a short while ago. I hope that you are the ones getting shitty agressive phone calls because you cant pay your bills, I hope that the stress of your job losses will make you really ill... and eventually you will die homeless unemployed worthless scum..... good riddence.

    Kindest regards

    Dave xxxx

10 phone calls a day is breach of OFCOM regulations. a company can only ring with contact with a customer 3 times a day maximum. you can report them to OFCOM for this and they will get fined for it. the staff there deny that welcome finance have gone bust but 2 of my managers who used to work there along with my ppi solicitor have confirmed that they have gone bust along with various bits on the internet. the staff are pushy, aggressive, demanding and we are requesting no contact by telephone which you can do. if you request all contact in writing they are to adhere to that and have to by law remove your phone number from your account. re credit file damaging welcome dont report to credit file. we have had 4 loans over 12 years and not one of them has ever been reported to credit file. we got threatened last night on the phone that our credit file was damaged. i advised the abnoxious little git that the loan started 6 years ago and to start reporting now to credit file was against the law. the report to credit file re the loan has to be done when you take the loan out not years down the line.

  28. I got a loan out with them in 2008 for 3000, to cut a long story short i end up owing them 8000!! I was doing an attachment to earnings with them a couple of years ago through my wages, I'm now unemployed so haven't been able to afford to pay for it, I've notice they haven't contacted me in months. Now I've just found out they've gone bust do I still need to pay that back? Will they take me to court for it? Or am free from it all?

  30. It's only a mindless ignorant non educated arse like you that would make a comment like that. You probably work for welcome and are one if the cold heartless untrained sales representatives that people in this forum are talking about, 'lost your job have you', well think if the other people who gavegobe through the same and pleaded with welcome about their circumstances. The country is in a state because companies like welcome prey on the vulnerable, yes the vulnerable and take the piss, everyone is saying the same thing what you sign up for is not what you get with them you dope. I have heard of cases where welcome have done fraud on customer/contract agreements, what do you say to that? it would be interesting to hear your views on politicians and bankers because they have a lot to do with the state if thus country donut.

  31. I bought my first car on finance with welcome and when it was wrote off as someone drove into me I was told the insurance don't cover it and I then had to sign new loan papers for the outstanding balance what I didn't realise was they turned it into a secured loan on my house and would do it no other way and they scrapped my car when I had wrote to them telling them I wanted to repair it myself, when my husband lost his job there bully tactics started nothing I offered was ever enough glad they go through it now

  32. Investigate the individual contacts of your investors and consider whether their Rolodex may add to your venture capacities. Consider the potential bearing your speculation portfolio will take later on and search for cooperative energies that the investors you have may convey to plans now and later. http://www.china-research.net/
